At Oleon, we believe strong controlling and financial steering are key to driving sustainable performance and informed decision-making. As BUSINESS PROCESS OWNER - controlling, you take end-to-end ownership of our global controlling processes, ensuring they deliver accurate insights, support business performance, and remain aligned with both strategic and compliance requirements.
In this role, you focus on strengthening and harmonizing controlling processes across our entities. Working closely with finance teams, business stakeholders, IT and key users, you ensure that systems and processes provide reliable data and actionable insights, while supporting Oleon’s ongoing transformation initiatives.
You define the process vision within the controlling domain, set clear standards and translate business needs into structured and sustainable solutions, helping ensure that Oleon’s performance management processes remain robust, scalable and future proof.
Your key responsibilities include:
1. Managing and improving global controlling processes across areas such as budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling, margin analysis, stock validation and performance reporting, ensuring consistency across entities and systems.
2. Reviewing functional specifications and validating system designs to ensure business and reporting requirements are translated into effective solutions.
3. Coordinating and supporting testing activities and approving results before implementation.
4. Acting as a key interface between Finance, Business, IT and external partners, ensuring alignment throughout projects and process improvements.
5. Contributing to transformation initiatives and system integrations that strengthen Oleon’s controlling framework and decision-making capabilities.
6. Monitoring process performance, data quality and reporting accuracy, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
You'll succeed if:
7. You hold a master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
8. You bring solid experience in controlling processes such as budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, or performance management.
9. You have experience working with SAP and understand how financial processes translate into system functionality.
10. You are comfortable reviewing functional specifications, validating system designs, and supporting testing activities.
11. You combine strong analytical skills with a structured mindset and a high level of attention to detail.
12. You are an excellent communicator, able to engage clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels. You act as a key link between finance, IT, and business teams, ensuring consistent communication and alignment. With a helicopter view and a project management mindset, you can structure work, delegate effectively, and drive collaboration across functions in an international environment.
13. You communicate fluently in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is considered an advantage.
