Responsibilities
Attached to the Asset Integrity Management department, the Reliability Engineer contributes to the site’s industrial performance by improving the reliability and availability of equipment. Working closely with the Maintenance, Production and Logistics teams, he or she works to improve the reliability of facilities and equipment in order to minimise production losses, optimise maintenance costs and ensure safety.
In collaboration with the Head of Asset Integrity and Maintenance Engineers, and based on Yara’s internal standards and existing industry best practices, the Reliability Engineer is responsible for :
1. analysing and monitoring production losses and maintenance/intervention costs related to equipment failures
2. organising and managing root cause analyses (RCAs) :
- organising root cause analyses using a structured approach (problem solving) ;
- defining and monitoring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions related to these analyses, and measuring their impact
3. reliability-focused maintenance strategy :
- define the criticality of production and logistics equipment ;
- coordinate the equipment maintenance strategy through preventive and predictive maintenance plans ;
- coordinate the definition/updating of Bills of Materials and Spare Parts Strategy
4. continuous improvement of reliability :
- identifying and leading projects aimed at improving the reliability of equipment and processes
5. Equipment lifecycle management :
- coordinate feedback following periodic inspections;
- anticipate the end of equipment lifecycles by identifying future investment needs (long-range planning) ;
- coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs
6. maintaining ongoing dialogue with internal partners, namely production units and colleagues in Maintenance and Reliability.
The role implies all maintenance disciplines (automation, piping and static equipment, electrical and instrumentation, rotating machinery).
Profile
7. Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, chemical or equivalent)
8. Proven experience in a reliability, industrial maintenance or production department
9. Problem-solving skills and root cause analysis using a structured approach
10. IT skills :
- Microsoft Office
- knowledge of SAP PM or equivalent is an asset
11. Analytical and summarising skills
12. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
