Your Work Context
Jan De Nul has recently taken the Belgian family-owned company Aircoplus under its wing. The expert in heating, cooling, ventilation, and sanitary systems is a valuable addition to Jan De Nul's many construction projects. The two partners have been successfully collaborating since 2005 on various projects, including the ASZ hospital in Aalst, the ORSI medical training center in Wetteren, and the residential project Leietop in Deinze.
Your Role
Jan De Nul is looking for motivated engineers to support the expansion of the Building Techniques department (HVAC, sanitary systems, electricity, etc.).You will be part of the technical department for civil engineering works and will be responsible for the study, design, and follow-up of special techniques in buildings.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
* Study and develop technical designs in detail
* Seek the most cost-effective solutions
* Explore and propose alternative technical options
* Request quotations from (sub)contractors and suppliers
* Manage (sub)contractors during the execution of the works
* Contribute to the tender phase of building projects.
What you need:
You hold a Master's degree in Engineering and have a passion for technology. You are strongly interested in buildings and technical installations. You have an affinity with building techniques (through experience or education) and are willing to develop an internal and external network (engineering firms, contractors, suppliers, etc.). You will work from our office in Aalst and visit construction sites regularly. You can express yourself fluently in both Dutch and French, and you have a good command of English.
