R&D Manager - Dry Etch Process Development
What you will do
As an R&D Manager for Dry Etch Process Development, you will:
1. Lead and inspire a group of >40 talented R&D engineers and experts across four specialized expertise teams.
2. Collaborate with the expertise team leaders to manage the resources of the full group using imec’s HR tools and guidelines.
3. Define and execute strategies to meet the next-generation Dry Etch challenges.
4. Set priorities and track progress using performance metrics and scorecards.
5. Foster communication within the group and with the broader R&D stakeholder community.
6. Oversee the various Joint Development Programs with Dry Etch Tool and Material suppliers.
7. Build strategic partnerships and align on long-term technology roadmaps.
8. Monitor technology trends and ensure readiness for future nodes.
9. Manage operations to ensure efficient wafer usage and faster learning cycles.
10. Interface with hardware and engineering teams to maintain tool uptime and capabilities.

Who you are
11. PhD in Science or Applied Science (or a Master degree with equivalent experience).
12. Technical export with at least 10-15 years of industrial experience in Etch process development and integration knowledge.
13. Own a proven track record and have relevant experience in people management, operational management and technical team leadership.
14. Your enthusiasm and drive enable you to reach the ambitious team objectives.
15. Demonstrate excellent planning and organizational skills.
16. Fluency in English is required.
