Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced FREELANCE Slaughterhouse Supervisor / QA Manager to oversee food quality, hygiene, and operational compliance in a regulated slaughterhouse environment.In this role, you will lead quality assurance activities, supervise operational processes, and ensure compliance with food safety standards while managing a high-performing team.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee slaughterhouse operations and staff, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulationsImplement and monitor food quality control procedures and SOPsConduct audits and inspections in line with local and EU food safety regulationsLead and support continuous improvement initiatives across production processesManage documentation, including quality records, reports, and corrective actionsSupport HACCP, GMP, and other food safety compliance programsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
Key RequirementsMinimum 5–7 years of experience in food quality, QA, or slaughterhouse supervision/managementStrong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene, and compliance (HACCP, GMP, local regulations)Proven experience in supervising operational teams in a food production or slaughterhouse environmentExperience in quality audits, inspections, and corrective action managementStrong document review and approval skills, with meticulous attention to detailLanguages: Dutch (mandatory), English (required), French (a plus)Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
