We are dualoop, a team of experts in Product Management & Product Design, driven by passion and dedicated to empowering tech and tech-enabled companies at every stage of their journey. We operate in Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom and Norway.

Your Role
We could list all the data engineer's tasks, but it would be cumbersome. The truth is that there are as many data architectures as there are companies to build them. Depending on your profile and career goals, we will propose assignments that fit you best.
Our goal is to help you become an outstanding data engineer, and it starts by offering you the most exciting opportunities.
In a nutshell, our vision of the job:
* Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures that power product decisions and business intelligence.
* Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and data scientists to understand data needs and deliver reliable, well-modeled data assets.
* Work with modern data stack tools and cloud platforms to ingest, transform, and serve data across the organization.
* Ensure data quality, observability, and governance so that teams can trust the data they rely on every day.
* Optimize data models and queries for performance, cost, and scalability as the company grows.
* Partner with engineering teams to instrument products, capture the right events, and close the feedback loop between data and product development.
* Contribute to the data community by sharing best practices, building internal tooling, and mentoring peers.
Experiences Needed
* More than 3 years of experience in Data Engineering
Skills Needed
Even though 100 paths can lead to data engineering, we have noticed that the most talented data engineers we have encountered have the following traits:
* You are quality-obsessed, and you would go above and beyond to ensure the data your teams rely on is accurate and trustworthy.
* You have a strong command of SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java) to build and automate data workflows.
* You are comfortable with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Spark, Kafka, or similar).
* You speak fluent English AND French or Dutch.
* You have a genuine interest in understanding the business context behind the data — not just the plumbing, but the \"why.\"
* You have excellent communication skills to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders and translate data needs into engineering solutions.
* You have high organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability.
* You can think analytically, troubleshoot complex data issues, and propose pragmatic solutions under time pressure.
