ABOUT AXILES BIONIC
SAxiles Bionics is a Brussels-based spin-off from Brubotics (VUB), specializing in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Biomechanics, striving to improve the quality of life with new bionic technologies. Our mission is to bring peace of mind and body to amputees with innovative bionic solutions and outstanding services
.We are a highly motivated team entering a phase of sustainable and structured growth. While our roots are in managing and delivering innovative R&D projects, we are progressively expanding our activities across sales, marketing, and operations. Our ambition is to grow responsibly, build strong foundations, and create long-term impact, both for our projects and for the people who contribute to them
.
ABOUT THE RO
LEThis role exists to bridge the gap between advanced robotic engineering and safety of our devices. You will serve as the technical link that ensures our bionic solutions transition from theoretical concepts to validated, life-altering medical devices. By developing the sophisticated infrastructure required to verify performance and safety, you provide the empirical foundation upon which amputees rel
y.We are looking for a Bionics Software Engineer who excels at the intersection of software development, robust hardware integration, and rigorous validatio
n.
This role requires more than just coding; you will act as a systems architect, focusing on how software interacts with the physical world. Your primary responsibility will be the creation of sophisticated test-rigs and simulation environments designed to push our bionic limbs to their operational limi
ts.
Your ultimate goal is to ensure that every line of code and electronics meets the highest standards for precision, reliability, and saf
ety.
The mission of the Bionics Software Engineer at Axiles Bionics is to streamline the development of next-generation bionic devices by ensuring they are tested to the most exacting international standards. You will build the frameworks that subject these medical devices to real-world stress, ensuring both the code and the underlying electronics are fail-safe. In this role, your work directly accelerates the delivery of high-performance prosthetics to those who need them
