Import-Export Specialist Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with customs regulations and facilitating the smooth import and export of equipment and materials necessary for research and development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate the pre-shipment notification process for imported equipment, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
* Liaise with Global Trade Compliance for EU tariff classifications and Export Control Numbers (ECN).
* Prepare and file import permits and export license applications with relevant authorities.
* Maintain the Global classification database and respond to inquiries from customs brokers.
* Provide daily support to customs brokers and ensure performance meets critical metrics.
* D deliver training on customs valuation and import-export document requirements.
* Conduct monthly business reviews with key stakeholders.
* Perform Post Import Clearance Reviews and analyze audit results for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* A minimum of a bachelor's degree in International Business & Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field relevant to Trade Compliance.
* At least three 3 years of relevant professional experience in import-export operations or trade compliance.
* Proficiency in both French and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Technical knowledge of EU customs and trade topics, including incoterms, valuation, classification, and export controls.
* Strong problem-solving skills and excellent organizational skills.
