Which is where you come in. /p h3What You Will Be Doing /h3 pAs Director Governmental Affairs, you will shape and influence the regulatory environment that underpins Umicore’s current and future businesses. Operating at the interface of technology, sustainability and public policy, you will lead impactful, science based advocacy and represent Umicore as a trusted and respected voice in key policy and industry fora. /p h3In This Role, You Will /h3 ul liDevelop and steer advocacy positions on EU and national regulatory files, including battery regulation, circular economy and waste product legislation. /li liTranslate complex regulatory and technical topics into clear, persuasive positions aligned with Umicore’s strategic priorities. /li liRepresent Umicore in influential European and international industry associations, platforms and representative bodies. /li liBuild and maintain high level relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry peers and other key stakeholders. /li liDesign and execute targeted advocacy strategies, from position papers and consultations to hearings and senior level meetings. /li liSupport and prepare senior executives for strategic engagements with public authorities. /li liAct as an internal connector, working closely with business units, RD and corporate functions. /li /ul h3Who We Are Looking For /h3 pYou are a seasoned advocacy and public affairs professional who combines policy insight with technological and business understanding. You enjoy navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and thrive on influencing outcomes that matter. /p h3You Bring /h3 ul liA university degree in science, engineering, economics, policy, law or equivalent experience. /li liAt least 10 years of experience in government affairs, advocacy, public policy or related roles. /li liProven exposure to EU and/or national decision making processes and industry or representative bodies. /li liThe ability to distil complex regulatory and technical issues into clear, compelling narratives. /li liStrong credibility, communication and networking skills, with confidence to engage at senior level. /li liFluency in English and at least one additional European business language. /li liA collaborative, resilient and intellectually curious mindset. /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 pWe aim to lead the way.
