The departments Public Distribution, End Users and Injection are the commercial point of contact for all Belgian customers who are either already connected or will be connected to the Fluxys Belgium grid: distribution system operators, power plants, large industrial consumers, and producers of biomethane and synthetic gases.
For these departments, which are based at our headquarters in Brussels, we are looking for a Technical Account Manager (m/f/x).
Job purpose
As a point of contact and facilitator, you will build a lasting relationship with our internal and external partners. You will support them in all kinds of new projects and take full control over the monitoring and management of their connections.
In a nutshell, your job will be to ensure a seamless and suitable connection to the Fluxys grid for every customer in accordance with the applicable regulations, both for those who are already connected and those who will be connected.
Your responsibilities
You are a real relation builder: someone who, drawing on your genuine interest and expertise, forges long-term bonds of trust with our external customers. Your daily monitoring, ranging from the technical/administrative aspects of their connection to responding to commercial and operational questions, makes sure that they feel heard and supported and have the professional assistance they need. Proper, transparent treatment of the customer is always your top priority.
You also act as a reliable link to other Fluxys departments, so that information and advice flow effortlessly in both directions and every partner (whether internal or external) is assured of seamless and transparent cooperation. When required, you represent the department in internal or external working groups, where you defend our positions lucidly and constructively.
You empathize, conduct market research and actively 'think along' with our customers so that their new projects and specific questions can be translated into properly thought-out technical/commercial solutions. In doing so, you are always mindful of the balance between what the customer needs and what is feasible and reasonable within the regulatory framework.
You also play a pioneering role in the development of new (green) applications such as biomethane and synthetic gases. You will work closely with colleagues, distribution system operators, Synergrid and gas.be to together develop creative solutions and promote these innovations more widely in the market. You will help investigate how the quality of these renewable gases can affect the gas grid with a view to proactively determining the best approach to ensure safe, secure and reliable gridoperations.
You embrace the digital transition and AI as a driver for efficiency and high-quality customer management. You manage projects seamlessly and in a cross-departmental way, closely monitor new developments, actively stimulate internal needs and always opt for a pragmatic and results-oriented approach.
About you
You hold a master's degree in civil, industrial or commercial engineering or in economics or have an equivalent degree.
You enjoy taking a commercial approach but also have a special interest in technology.
You have excellent communication and negotiation skills and are a good listener.
You are customer- and solutions-oriented.
You have excellent analytical skills, a strong intellectual curiosity and a great eagerness to learn, which is reflected among other things in a flair for innovation.
You are passionate about digitalisation.
You have more than three years' relevant professional experience in a commercial role, preferably in the energy sector.
You are a team player with a hands-on mentality.
You have a good knowledge of Dutch, English and French.
