Mission
As a
Data Scientist
within the Technology Business Unit and the Digital Department at IBA, your mission is to help our business teams by providing insights, predictive models and data-driven solutions leveraging statistical analysis and artificial intelligence.
You will also contribute to R&D projects such as
physics-informed AI and predictive maintenance
, while embedding data science into operational processes.
Challenges we trust you with
* Lead data science projects from exploration to deployment and monitoring
* Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and business teams to identify opportunities
* Build predictive models and assess data quality
* Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights clearly
* Contribute to R&D initiatives in physics-informed AI and predictive maintenance
* Stay up to date with trends in AI, statistics, and modelling
* Support IBA's digital transformation through data-driven solutions
What We Value
* At least 3 years as a Data Scientist or relevant experience
* Strong foundation in Python
* Expertise in physics
* Experience working in an R&D or academic environment
* End-to-end ML project experience including problem scoping, experimentation, deployment, and monitoring
* Strong foundation in statistics and AI, through education or experience
* Motivated to find business value in advanced physics innovation
* Strong communicator that can describe complex topics in a simple way
* Fluent in English, French is a plus
Nice to have:
* Experience with Databricks and Spark
* Experience with NVIDIA PhysicsNeMo, DeepXDE or similar software
