Fujitsu is looking for a Senior Python Backend Engineer to design, build, and secure scalable server-side systems that support mission-critical web applications.
Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and develop server-side components using Python best practicesDesign and maintain RESTful APIs for front-end and system integrationsDesign, optimize, and secure database schemas and queriesImplement scalable, cloud-ready architectures using containers and orchestrationImprove application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecksApply secure coding standards, authentication, authorization, and encryptionConduct code reviews and vulnerability assessmentsCollaborate within a DevSecOps environment using CI/CD pipelines
Required Skills & ExperienceStrong expertise in Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPISolid experience with RESTful API designStrong database experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)Excellent knowledge of ORM, schema design, and query optimizationHands-on experience with Docker / Podman and KubernetesExperience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)Knowledge of secure coding practices and vulnerability scanning tools (OWASP)Experience with Linux and virtual machine managementFamiliarity with Git / SVN and configuration tools such as AnsibleExperience using AI-powered code assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q) is a plus
