About the Role
We’re partnering with a fast-scaling fintech company in West Flanders that is redefining how businesses interact with financial technology. With strong growth across the Benelux region and an expanding SaaS-driven platform, the company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its high-performing finance team.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll work at the intersection of finance, technology, and data—collaborating closely with product, commercial, and operations teams in a modern, tech-first environment .
What You’ll Do
Take full ownership of general ledger accounting for one or more Belgian entities
Lead month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Prepare financial statements in line with BE GAAP
Manage VAT filings and statutory compliance, including fintech-specific and digital services considerations
Act as the key contact for auditors and tax advisors
Support budgeting and forecasting, partnering with finance and business stakeholders
Drive process improvements, automation, and internal controls
Contribute to ERP and financial systems optimization (integrations with billing, payments, and subscription platforms)
Deliver financial insights and performance analysis to support strategic decisions
Support and enhance revenue recognition processes, particularly within SaaS and subscription-based models
What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
5+ years of experience, ideally in fintech, tech, SaaS, or a fast-growing international environment
Strong knowledge of BE GAAP (IFRS is a plus)
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Exact)
Solid understanding of revenue recognition, especially in subscription-based environments
Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)
A hands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
