At Capitole, we are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and evolve data pipelines and data products within a modern cloud-based data platform.
You will work in a lakehouse architecture leveraging Azure services and Databricks, contributing to both feature development and platform evolution. This role combines hands-on engineering, data modeling, and platform thinking, with strong exposure to metadata-driven frameworks, observability, and data quality.
🔎 We’re looking for someone with:
* 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
* Deep expertise in Azure Data Services: Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
* Proven skills in Azure Databricks: Building and optimizing scalable Spark/PySpark solutions.
* Mastery of SQL & Data Modeling: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and optimize complex data flows.
* Experience with Data Governance: Familiarity with tools like Unity Catalog and orchestration tools like Airflow.
* Agile Mindset: Solid experience working with Agile frameworks in global, multicultural environments.
💡 In this role you’ll:
* Design & Build: Ingest, transform, and publish data from diverse sources into our scalable Data Platform.
* Architect foundations: Collaborate with Tech Leads and Architects to extend the platform’s core, ensuring it supports our long-term roadmap.
* Mentor & Lead: Provide guidance to other Data Engineers, performing code reviews and fostering a culture of best practices.
* Explore & Innovate: Work closely with Product Owners to perform data exploration and offer smart, cost-efficient solutions.
* Ensure Excellence: Implement robust security, privacy, and compliance standards across all data pipelines.
* Troubleshoot: Perform deep-dive analysis to resolve complex data issues in a fast-paced environment.
📍 Location: Poblenou, Barcelona (Hybrid).
💼 Contract: Full-time.
🗣️ Languages: English C1 (Advanced).
