SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR - LEUVEN (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments.
The role covers Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization platforms, Microsoft 365 services, and core networking infrastructure.
You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of systems that support business operations, working closely with IT, security, and application teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server and Linux server environments.
* Manage virtualization platforms, including provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of virtual machines and related infrastructure.
* Perform system installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.
* Support identity and access services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
* Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and user lifecycle management.
* Support and integrate cloud services with on-premises infrastructure.
* Monitor system performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
* Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
* Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and network layers.
* Support infrastructure security hardening, patching, and compliance requirements.
* Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures.
* Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide second- and third-line support for escalated infrastructure incidents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
* 3+ years of experience in System Administration or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
* Strong experience managing Windows Server environments and good working knowledge of Linux systems.
* Hands-on experience with server virtualization and virtual infrastructure management.
* Experience administering Microsoft 365 services in a business environment.
* Solid understanding of core networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, and VPNs.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments.
* Experience with backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery processes.
* Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues across multiple infrastructure layers.
* Good communication skills and the ability to document technical processes clearly. xjecrpw
