Job Description: Part-time IT Intern
Role: IT Internship (Prácticas IT)
Reports to: IT Deskside Team Leader
Location: Barcelona
Job Overview
Contract: 6-month, 20-hour a week, part-time internship
The IT Intern will provide on-site IT support to internal employees, acting as “remote hands” for the global Service Desk. They will be the first on-site point of contact for internal users, ensuring all incidents and requests are properly logged, categorized, and managed in the ticketing system.
In addition, they will support the installation, maintenance, and management of hardware and software, as well as local IT asset management.
Responsibilities
* Log and document all IT incidents and requests received via email, phone, chat, or in person in the Service Desk system.
* Respond to tickets within defined SLAs.
* Perform initial triage of incidents before escalation to other teams (first-level support and basic troubleshooting).
* Act as “remote hands” for the global Service Desk for PCs, printers, telephony, and network equipment.
* Manage registration, distribution, and shipping of IT assets in the office.
Required Skills & Competencies
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
* Ability to work independently and willingness to learn new technologies.
* Strong customer orientation and good user support attitude.
* Proactivity and a positive “can-do attitude”.
* English is a must; additional languages such as French, Spanish, German, or Dutch are a plus.
Education
* Current student in IT, Computer Science, or related field
* or prior experience in IT support.
