To support the further development of the site in South-West Flanders, we are looking for aSite Quality & Food Safety Managerwho will play a key role in strengthening and embedding the quality culture.
About the role
AsSite Quality & Food Safety Manager, you are responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and safeguarding of the quality and food safety policy at site level. You translate regulations and standards into a clear and actionable quality strategy, ensuring strong integration into processes, systems, and company culture.
You report to theQuality Directorand work closely with the quality team (QA & QC) as well as other departments across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Define, implement, and continuously optimize the site’s quality and food safety strategy
* Ensure compliance with HACCP, BRC, IFS, and applicable food legislation
* Lead and prepare internal and external audits, ensuring structured follow-up of action plans
* Analyze non-conformities, complaints, and audit results, translating insights into sustainable improvement initiatives
* Initiate and drive continuous improvement projects focused on process optimization and risk management
* Monitor quality KPIs and report to the Quality Director
* Act as a subject matter expert and sparring partner for operations and management
* Build engagement and ownership across teams, strengthening a positive quality and food safety culture
Profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in Food Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field), or equivalent through experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a site quality management role within the food industry
* At least 5 years of people management experience, with a proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams
* Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC, IFS, and food safety regulations
* Solid understanding of food processing and production environments
* Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Fluent in Dutch and a strong command of French
* Strong analytical and process-oriented mindset with high attention to detail
* Hands-on, proactive, and solution-driven approach
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
