About the Role We are seeking an experienced Sub-System Manager to lead and coordinate cross-functional activities for a major international railway project. You will be responsible for the management and successful delivery of a project sub-system, ensuring full alignment with customer expectations and QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Performance) commitments. You will work in a matrix environment, with strong interactions between engineering, industrialization, sourcing, and integration teams, and occasionally directly with the final client. Key Responsibilities - Manage sub-system stakeholders and activities end-to-end: from requirement capture to project close-out. - Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, sourcing, RAMS, industrialization, and supply chain teams. - Coordinate with other sub-systems and project-level functions. - Deliver the sub-system scope according to contractual commitments and project targets. - Lead arbitration between conflicting needs (engineering, Make or Buy decisions, costs, planning, interfaces, etc.). - Manage risks, opportunities, changes, and rebaselining for the sub-system. - Ensure transparency and accuracy in KPI tracking and reporting. - Represent the sub-system in reviews, gate meetings, and towards the client if requested. - Apply project strategies and ensure full compliance with internal processes, ethics, EHS, and quality standards. Profile / Requirements : Education: - Master's degree in Engineering (mandatory) - PMP/Prince 2 certification is a strong plus. Experience: - Minimum 5 years' experience managing complex product development projects. - Experience in an industrial and technological environment, in an international and matrix organization. - Proven success managing cross-functional and multi-site teams across different métiers (Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain, etc.). - Project scope managed: from €100K to €100 million. Skills: - Strong project management expertise (scope, cost, time, risk, quality). - Excellent coordination and communication skills. - Leadership to drive motivation and alignment within the team. - Result-oriented, dynamic, proactive, and open-minded. - Capacity to maintain the global project vision and ensure project progression within deadlines and budget. - Organized, rigorous, and stress-resistant. Languages: - Fluent in French and English (written and spoken). - Other languages are an asset. Environment and Team - You report hierarchically to the Traction Bids & Projects Director. - You coordinate a local project team of 6 people and manage interactions with integration teams and potentially with the final client. - Limited travel is expected on the project.
