Your mission :
As a System Engineer - API Management, you will play a key role in designing, governing, and operating our API ecosystem to support ENGIE’s digital and business ambitions.
Your responsibilities include:
* Advising and managing the setup of our API Management platform (current: KONG, future vendor‑agnostic).
* Aligning with Enterprise and Technical Architects to ensure coherent API middleware architecture.
* Structuring and maintaining API documentation; defining and enforcing API policies.
* Guiding teams on secure, consistent, and reusable API design.
* Ensuring governance, observability, and compliance throughout the API lifecycle.
* Collaborating with development, product, and security teams across programs.
* Contributing to Kubernetes‑based platform services for design, maintenance, and evolution.
* Participating in platform engineering initiatives such as automation, self‑service, and industrialization of API delivery.
Your skills :
* API management principles & platforms
* KONG, Google Apigee
* API design best practices (REST, GraphQL)
* AWS ecosystem: EKS, SQS, S3
* CI/CD pipelines & DevOps concepts
* Monitoring & logging in cloud‑native environments:
* ELK, Datadog
* Kubernetes (hands‑on experience required)
* Understanding of Java Spring Boot development
* Languages: English, Dutch, French
