Join the Silicon Photonics team at imec R&D headquarters located in the heart of Europe and help to debug and industrialise the next generation of integrated Silicon Photonics chips as the Technical Lead Integration and Industrialisation Expert.
What you will do
* Your mission as the Technical Lead Integration Expert in the Silicon Photonics Industrialisation team will be to debug and industrialise process flows for Silicon Photonics devices to enable new devices and functionality for our customers.
* As member of the Silicon Photonics Industrialisation team, you are responsible for a streamlined project execution by interacting with your colleagues from device design, characterization, process development, metrology and defectivity. You will be responsible for defining experiments and process splits in the process flows and managing development activities with out-sourced fabrication facilities.
* You will follow-up on the processing of test material, collect and analyze performance data. You report results both internally as well as to customers.
* You report directly to the Director of the Product Industrialisation and Delivery (PID) department.
* You will interact with the program managers, program directors and to your customers.
* Good communication and interaction within the Silicon Photonics Technology department as well as with the Fab operations unit, is a major requirement for this job.
* You will represent imec in contacts with third parties and representatives for semiconductor players from around the globe for matters that relate to your field of competence.
* You need to stay on top of the state of the art within your competence domain and benchmark imec's solutions, and keep your level of scientific know-how up to date and benchmarks imec's expertise and performance in your competence domain with the rest of the world.
* You will operate from imec HQ located close to Brussels in the heart of Europe.

Who you are
* You have obtained a PhD or Master degree, preferably combined with some relevant industrial experience (semiconductor process technology and development).
* 7+ years of experience in semiconductor processing or integration.
* Experience in Silicon Photonics integration or device engineering is a major advantage.
* You can interpret in line, electrical and optical test data and can relate data to the wafer fabrication process.
* You are an enthusiastic team player with project management capabilities.
* You can complete your tasks in time with minimal supervision.
* You have excellent English communication skills.
