Our consulting service lines span strategy, market development and innovation advisory. We are looking for motivated, experienced professionals to support on and lead typical consultant tasks such as: sector and market entry strategies, economic and cost benefit analyses, investment business cases, impact assessment of policy options, market studies, strategic and business planning, user requirement gathering and analysis, program and project management. The role includes interaction with clients, partners and program stakeholders with exposure to senior decision-makers in the space ecosystem, both in industry and government.
We are looking for a Space Economy Consultant to join our team and drive the economic dimension of our space projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in conducting quantitative and qualitative assessments to inform strategic policy and public investment decisions in the European and international space ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and contribute to econometric and socio-economic impact analyses to quantify the benefits of institutional and commercial space initiatives, in particular:
* Running and designining Input/Output models through IMPLAN and OECD data, assess the industrial composition of space activities, and interpret results such as Gross Value Added (GVA), Output, Employment, etc
* Supporting microeconomic analysis, including design and execute cost–benefit and cost-effectiveness assessments for specific space programs
* Analyze government space programs and public funding mechanisms to inform strategic recommendations and benchmark best practices
* Build, maintain and enhance financial and budget-forecasting models in Excel
* Contribute to space market intelligence reports, tracking trends in launch services, satellite operations and downstream applications
* Contribute to develop client deliverables: from structured and rigorous analyses to clear, compelling presentations and written reports
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—policy, technical and business development—to ensure economic rigor is embedded throughout project lifecycles
Desired Skills & Experience
* 1–4 years of experience in economic impact analysis, with a strong preference for candidates with exposure to space, aerospace, R&D, or high-tech sectors
* Advanced degree (MSc or PhD preferred) in Economics, Econometrics, Public Policy, or a related quantitative field
* Knowledge of input-output frameworks for measuring economic spillovers, regional development and societal impact
* Mastery of discounting techniques, NPV calculations, and sensitivity/risk analysis
* Expert-level Excel skills (complex formulas; VBA/macros a plus), advanced PivotTables, data validation and scenario-modelling
* Proficiency in R, Python, Stata or other econometric/statistical tools; ability to design and maintain large-scale financial and economic models
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing high-impact reports and presenting to senior stakeholders
* Familiarity with the European space policy landscape and funding instruments (e.g., Horizon Europe, ESA optional programmes) is a strong asset
* Fast learner, flexible, organised, meticulous and detail-oriented
* Ability to work independently and yet to work effectively and nicely in a team
* Experience in space business, earth observation, satellite navigation, transport policy, mobility, and security matters
* Fully fluent in English
* EU citizen or permanent EU residence/work permit
* Flexibility for occasional international travel (mostly day-trips)
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite
Any of the following would be a plus
* Engineering/ scientific background / interest in space technology
* Working knowledge in a second or more European languages, e.g. French, German, Italian, Spanish, Czech, Polish ..
* Familiarity with relevant policy and regulatory frameworks
* Knowledge of ESG and sustainability metrics as they relate to space activities
