* Analyse and observe legislative procedures, monitor EU policy & relevant actors
* Establish contacts in institutions of the EU and member states as well as in civil society that facilitate the adaption of the organisation’s advocacy goals
* Coordinate and take part in already existing networks
* Inform about relevant policy developments and identify new opportunities
* Provide strategic guidance for Team Lead and C-Level on policy positions
* Draft updates, briefing notes, position papers and talking points for meetings, speeches and workshops
* Support in organisation of events, public relations and campaigns
* Represent the organisation at conferences, events and in meetings
* Assist with identification of funding opportunities on EU Level and contribute to applications that are strongly related to the position
* Distribute policy positions to relevant actors
Wir wünschen uns
* A master's degree (or a combination of a Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience) preferably in european law, economics or political sciences
* Your place of residence is in Brussels (Belgium) or the surrounding area
* You have at least 2 years of working experience in the world of EU politics
* You speak and write English fluently; German language skills are required
* You have proven knowledge on EU decision-making processes
* You already bring along relevant contacts in EU institutions and partner organisations
* You have proven knowledge in policy sectors like digital rights, platform regulation or platform governance
* You have strong coordination skills and the ability to work remotely with high level of autonomy and selforganization
* You are familiar with the use of various digital tools for organisation and communication and feel confident using the MS Office package
* You are a politically minded person and want to take a stand against digital violence
* You value our diverse society and have the will to develop yourself further, change your perspective and learn new things

Über uns
Hass im Netz ist eine gesellschaftliche Herausforderung. Menschen, die digitale Gewalt erleben, stehen oft allein da. Meist sind sowohl das persönliche Umfeld als auch die Behörden überfordert, wenn Menschen im Internet massiv angegriffen werden. Auch die Plattformen übernehmen selten Verantwortung. Das wollen wir ändern – am liebsten mit dir an unserer Seite.
Was HateAid tut
HateAid ist eine gemeinnützige Organisation, die sich seit 2018 für Menschenrechte im digitalen Raum einsetzt. Alle Betroffenen, die selbst keine digitale Gewalt verbreiten, können sich an die Beratung von HateAid wenden. In ausgewählten Fällen unterstützen wir Betroffene zudem bei der Durchsetzung ihrer Rechtsansprüche.
In digitaler Gewalt sehen wir eine große Gefahr für die Demokratie. Deswegen wollen wir die Grundvoraussetzungen für Menschen, die digitale Gewalt erleben, nachhaltig verbessern, etwa über Veränderungen im Straf- und Zivilrecht oder im Verbraucherschutz. Dazu stehen wir in regelmäßigem Austausch mit Politik, Strafverfolgungsbehörden sowie Plattformbetreibenden und veröffentlichen Positionspapiere sowie Stellungnahmen. Mittels Kampagnen, Aktionen und Medienarbeit adressieren wir das Thema digitale Gewalt gegenüber einer breiten Öffentlichkeit.
