Our client is an international federation representing the interests of its members towards the EU institutions. Their human-sized and multinational office (+/- 12 people) is located in the Arts-Loi area and is currently looking to recruit a Research & Data Adviser on a permanent contract basis.

Purpose of the role
The Research & Data Adviser supports the team in collecting, managing and drafting commentary on data for the economic and market publications of the entity. This will include the conduct of related research and statistical analysis. The successful candidate will also support the policy team in EU policy monitoring and outreach activities.
Job Description
Data collection and management:
Collecting statistics from a range of sources, both public and privateReviewing and managing the federation's datasets, ensuring their overall consistencyLiaising with the federation's members and data suppliers across different statistical exchanges, covering several key topicsSupporting the team in updating and/or maintaining the statistics displayed on the federation's websites.
Report writing and economic updating:
Contribute to the drafting of the main reportsProviding written economic analyses on the basis of the collected data, which will be published regularlyPreparing, as appropriate, flash reports for the Managers ahead of meetings, press interviews or other eventsProviding the team with daily economic and market updates
Policy monitoring:
Supporting the members of the Secretariat directly involved in EU policy monitoring and outreach activitiesAssisting in monitoring the latest EU legislative developments impacting the sector, and reporting to the policy team and Managers.
Profile :
·University Degree, preferably Master's level in a relevant field of expertise (Economics, Finance, Business Administration, EU Affairs, etc.)·Fluency in English (C2 - written and spoken) is essential. A professional knowledge of French or of another EU language is a asset·At least 3 years of relevant work experience ideally acquired in the financial sector.Thorough understanding of the EU legislative process.Good understanding of statistics and databases. Candidates should also be able to prepare visual and graphic solutions to represent the relevant data.Familiarity with IT tools. Advance knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel will be considered an asset.Ability to take the initiative and find solutions to problems as they arise.Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a professional approach.Curious, multitasking, resourceful, proactive and a quick learner.Ability to work in a young, dynamic group, as well as autonomously.Commitment to the values and goals of the European Union
