MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - LEUVEN (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and dependable Maintenance Technician t o help keep our facilities, equipment, and systems running smoothly and efficiently.
This role is essential in minimizing downtime, ensuring safety, and supporting the overall productivity of our operations. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be the go-to person for troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
You will play a key part in identifying potential issues before they become major problems, keeping our operations compliant with safety standards, and providing technical support across different departments.
This position requires a balance of technical skills, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to maintaining both equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, etc.).
Diagnose malfunctions and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and maintain operational flow.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous system improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Collaborate with other departments to support operational efficiency and minimize disruptions.
Monitor inventory of tools and spare parts; request replacements when necessary.
Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
Secondary education or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar maintenance/repair role.
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Basic computer skills for maintenance logs, reporting, and scheduling.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
Physical stamina and ability to lift, climb, bend, and work in various environments.
