Our client, a leading organization operating in a large-scale and critical infrastructure environment, is looking for a Medior to Senior Application Support Engineer to join its Data & Application Support team.
The team is responsible for deploying and supporting in-house developed applications in Acceptance and Production environments, mainly around Windows Server, IIS, SQL-based applications, and increasingly Linux RedHat environments.
The consultant will also contribute to application deployment architecture, second/third-line troubleshooting, technical documentation, Disaster Recovery Plans and Business Continuity activities.
As an Application Support Engineer, you will:
1. Deploy and update in-house applications in Acceptance and Production environments.
2. Support application environments mainly based on Windows Server, IIS and SQL.
3. Work on application deployments and server setup for new applications.
4. Provide 2nd and 3rd line troubleshooting for application and infrastructure-related incidents.
5. Configure and support load balancing concepts, including F5 VIPs.
6. Contribute to DRP and BCP documentation, validation and execution.
7. Support shared technologies such as RabbitMQ, Redis, MongoDB or similar middleware.
8. Monitor application health, logs, performance and system availability.
9. Maintain operating and installation documentation.
10. Collaborate with internal IT stakeholders and external technology partners.
11. Participate in a 24/7 duty role rotation.
You have the following skills
Must-have
12. Proven recent experience supporting applications on Linux RedHat.
13. Strong expert-level experience with Windows Server –.
14. Good knowledge of IIS management and website/application deployments.
15. Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
16. Experience with application deployment in Acceptance and Production environments.
17. Good understanding of troubleshooting, monitoring, logs and system health.
18. Knowledge of MS SQL.
19. Understanding of firewalls, authentication, authorization and load balancing concepts.
20. Knowledge of DevOps / CI-CD pipelines.
21. Strong analytical mindset and customer-oriented attitude.
22. Able to work independently and within a team.
23. French or Dutch native level, with good understanding of the other national language.
24. English required for documentation and international meetings.
25. Driver’s license and availability for duty role.
Nice-to-have
26. Knowledge of MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Redis Cache or Neo4J.
27. Experience with F5 load balancing.
28. Experience with DRP / BCP execution.
29. Knowledge of monitoring tools.
30. German is a plus.
