Regional HR Director (Europe)

Direct Reports: Cluster HRD's, Business unit HRDs, Health and Safety leads, Regional HR Managers
Based: Any of our European locations (unable to choose Europe as a region)
Are you an accomplished HR leader ready to take on a pivotal role in a dynamic multinational environment? We're seeking a Regional HR Director to lead our HR function across Europe, playing a critical role in achieving our strategic and financial objectives. This is a significant opportunity to drive impactful people initiatives across almost 20 countries and support our 46,500+ employees in the region!
What You'll Do:
* Lead with Integrity & Reliability: You'll oversee all aspects of compensation and benefits for senior employees, including annual pay reviews and bonuses. You'll also be the point person for investigating and resolving serious whistleblowing, grievance, ethical, legal, compliance, or audit issues, ensuring our operations uphold the highest standards. Furthermore, you'll ensure compliance with group reporting and approval processes, and implement global HR standards, including our values programmes and core HR standards.
* Drive Agility & Innovation: You'll partner directly with regional leadership to embed people and organizational issues into our business plans, optimizing performance and driving efficiency. This includes reviewing organizational design, leading business unit restructures, and implementing region-wide initiatives. You'll actively contribute to the development and implementation of our global HR strategy, ensuring it's tailored and relevant to the European region.
* Champion Safety & Security: You'll be instrumental in championing significant improvements in Health & Safety performance, meticulously implementing group-wide safety training programs and initiatives to ensure a secure and safe environment for all our people.
* Cultivate Talent & Growth: You'll spearhead the recruitment of Managing Directors, HR Directors, and other critical roles, expertly overseeing succession planning and talent management for key positions. You'll actively support performance management, including managing terminations or transfers as appropriate for senior leadership. Moreover, you'll manage talent and succession processes to ensure the region has the necessary resources and capabilities, and support leadership development programs to cultivate future leaders.
* Enhance HR Performance & Engagement: You'll monitor and actively drive improvements in HR service, recruitment of frontline employees being a critical service, and performance across business units, addressing any material gaps or risks. You'll also be key in implementing global HR programs like employee engagement surveys, action planning, and promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion commitments, ensuring best practice sharing across the region.
What You'll Bring:
* An MBA or Master's degree (preferred) and 8+ years of extensive HR leadership experience in a large, dispersed multinational, in a labor-intensive service industry as an advantage.
* Experience within Works Council/Unions in the European context
* Proven ability to lead strategic HR initiatives, including employee relations and H&S programs.
* Strong business acumen, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
* A pragmatic and flexible approach, adept at navigating diverse cultural environments.
