Job Description
You aren't just starting as a Business Consultant; you are also stepping up as an "Initiative Owner." Your job is to be the bridge between Telenet’s business goals and its technical execution. Driving the customer experience to a higher level, ensuring more delighted customers.
As a Business Consultant, you increase business value by creating insights, concepts, and solutions for current and future challenges or needs. You highlight opportunities for improvement and connect business teams with technical departments. In your role as an initiative owner, you add value to change initiatives and design processes that support the company’s strategic goals across different business and technology areas.
Your responsibilities
As a Business Consultant, you enhance the value of our projects by offering solutions or creating processes aligned with strategic goals.
* You utilize functional expertise to help develop or adjust the tribe's roadmap, ensuring feasibility with business and technology partners in line with strategic objectives.
* You collaborate closely with stakeholders to perform conceptual design of business initiatives and analyze and design innovative solutions for business transformation or current projects.
* You act as a liaison between business and technology domains, balancing requirements and solution alternatives, questioning them when necessary, and continuously monitoring business value to maximize positive impact for Telenet and its customers.
* You define acceptance criteria and approve the end-to-end solution in cooperation with business stakeholders, coaching for proper implementation of required actions, activities, and change management, including testing if applicable.
* You are co-responsible for establishing, rolling out, and maintaining the One Telenet Business Process framework. You act as “Lead Process Designer" to monitor, design, and continuously improve assigned processes, providing expert advice.
* You don’t guess; you know.You use your knowledge of SQL and API’s to understand our digital landscape and make informed, data-backed decisions.
* You detail and document the chosen solution direction, final solutions, and related business requirements, procedures, and data scripts. You align and validate these with stakeholders, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and full legal compliance.
* As an initiative owner you are the single point of contact (SPOC) for your domain. You’ll manage expectations and align diverse stakeholders to ensure every solution meets quality and business standards. You are responsible for your given domain and make sure all documentation is foreseen and you challenge our partners when needed.
Our ideal Business Consultant
* You have a Master or Bachelor degree with 5 to 7 relevant experience combined with a confident, open-minded & a “we say what’s what” approach.
* You are fluent in English & Dutch and able to deliver a message with impact to senior leadership.
* You have a continuous improvement and self-learning mindset and dedication to finding new ways of working. In addition, the knowledge and experience below are required:
o Broad Telenet business knowledge
o Experience of driving change initiatives (large or small)
o Passion for helping teams and individuals to deliver and personally grow
o Positive attitude which puts the needs of the entire team before the individual and helps others perform to the best of their abilities (Servant Leadership)
o Guiding colleagues in their development of their technical & functional knowledge and supporting them in their decision-making (in collaboration with the talent lead)
* You influence the efficiency of specific processes and are familiar with IT technology/solutions.
* You provide technical leadership, challenge business stakeholders on mapping the right solution to the strategic business objectives.
* You advocate best practices on (re)use and quality standards in the technical domain.
* You are able to lead and coach a multidisciplinary team.
