Job Description
As Sales Manager C&B (Conferences & Banqueting) you are our trusted advisor for clients from creating and developing the lead right up to the invoicing of their event, meeting or group booking. You are a brand ambassador and connect with the internal hotel team to ensure our guests and clients’ have the experience they expect – and beyond.
Your day-to-day :
• Organise and coordinate direct day to day conference / convention activities
• Respond to requests in a timely and correct manner (Crowne Plaza response-time of 2 hours)
• Follow up on requests and ensure the information is well kept in the CRM system in order to track the status of requests at all times for the purpose of accurate forecasting and increasing conversion. In detail: in the pre-event planning process, consult with the meeting planners the ideal setup, catering options to improve meeting efficiency and productivity.
• Initiate and conduct client site inspections
• Handle group reservations from request to rooming list to invoicing
• Arrange all details of meetings, conventions and events in a timely manner in order to ensure all departments are aware and can organize themselves and their department (Banquet Event Orders)
• Analyse post event client satisfaction by conducting phone calls after the event, inform the head of department and work out collectively on any actions that need to be taken accordingly
• Proactively seek new business within the business segments of the hotel (for example but not limited to: government, travel agencies, MICE agencies, airlines…)
• Provide relevant input to improve business goals and productivity, a creative mindset is key to achieve goals
• Assist in tasks set out by the Director of Sales and Marketing (for example but not limited to: flyer distribution, improving the hotels’ or its outlets online presence, set up client meetings, organising client events, submitting corporate RFP’s…).
Requirements
What we need from you ?
• A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Business language and tools acumen
• Bachelor's Degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in hospitality or related field
• Must speak local languages: French, Dutch and English
• Well-groomed and professional appearance
• Result oriented and driven
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new job skills
