This project aims to create a digital tool using AI, that would automatically calculate the storage performance of a vehicle, based on CAD data and on 3D scan of pre-defined objects. The goal is to rapidly assess and find solutions to improve the storage performance during vehicle development. To accomplish this goal, you will need to: Assist on the 3D scan of defined objects, Develop a tool to determine automatically in which storage areas each 3D-scanned object can fit (on CATIA), Based on the above information, develop an AI algorithm that would calculate and determine the optimised combination considering that objects have different priority levels (as actual customers would do), Create an appropriate user interface of the tool, and an easy-to-use step-by-step manual. You are currently enrolled in a Master’s degree (Engineering, Ergonomics, ) and available for a fulltime internship of 6 months in Zaventem. You have a strong interest in user experience, interior performance and ergonomics. You have experience with or interest in CAD tools (CATIA V5 is a strong asset).
