Assignments
We are looking for a System Engineer – Hydraulic Actuation to join a key player in the automotive industry.
As part of the system engineering team, you will play a central role in the development of hydraulic systems and power shift modules/clutches, covering the full V-cycle, from specification to validation.
Your main responsibilities include:
Decomposing product-level technical requirements into (sub-)system specifications and architectures, ensuring compliance follow-up
Managing and updating Critical-to-Function (CTF) items
Driving technical decision-making with clear communication across multidisciplinary stakeholders and customers
Conducting system-level V-cycle testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure reliability, safety, and performance
Preparing and maintaining technical documentation and specifications
Collaborating with cross-functional teams (embedded software, mechanical, hydraulic, materials engineering) to ensure seamless system integration
Performing system analysis, modelling, and simulation to validate performance against industry standards
Participating in design reviews, FMEAs, and risk assessments
Leading system issue investigations ( 8D/QRQC ) across development, serial life, and aftersales phases
Supporting the development of Functional Safety and Cybersecurity requirements
The Profile
Background
You hold a Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent by experience.
Must Have
Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in an automotive engineering environment
Strong technical background in mechanical engineering (design & manufacturing), with the ability to bridge software and controls strategies
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies: 5W2H, 8D, Six Sigma
Fluent in English (oral and written)
Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
Nice to Have
Proficiency in system engineering tools: Matlab, Simulink, Minitab, Vector CANape
Experience with requirement management tools such as Polarion
