The role
We are currently supporting a pharmaceutical organisation in Belgium that is looking to engage an experienced freelance Quality Control / Quality Assurance consultant to support ongoing GMP activities.
This is an active contract vacancy open to freelancers or contractors only.
Depending on the project requirements, the role can be on-site or hybrid, with flexibility where possible.
Responsibilities (scope may vary slightly per project)
Quality Control (QC):
* Performing QC activities within GMP-regulated environments
* Batch record review and release support
* Managing deviations, investigations, OOS/OOT
* Supporting inspections and audit readiness
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal quality standards
Quality Assurance (QA):
* QA oversight of manufacturing and laboratory activities
* Review and approval of quality documentation, SOPs, and change controls
* Managing CAPAs, risk assessments, and quality events
* Supporting internal, customer, and regulatory audits
* Acting as a quality point of contact for cross-functional teams
Profile required
* Proven experience in Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry
* Strong knowledge of GMP regulations
* Ability to work independently in a contract environment (Freelance)
* Experience working on project-based assignments
* Fluent in English (spoken and written)
* French and/or Dutch is an advantage, not mandatory
* Freelance status is required (self-employed or via consultancy)
