JOB DESCRIPTION:
The scope of our contract is to bring assistance with a right-hand Project Lead, in the context of high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects (380, 220, 150, 70 and 36 kV) involving substations and/or transmission lines, with frequent interfaces between engineering, purchasing, contractors, site execution, and project reporting, and requiring regular presence on worksites and coordination with an engineering office in Brussels.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities expected from our on-site delegate include:
1. Project involvement from definition to closure
- Participate in project definition, study, and design phases
- Ensure project execution and administrative closure
- Develop tender documents and participate in the purchasing process
2. Site execution leadership and coordination
- Lead and coordinate execution activities on site
- Collaborate with internal project teams within the client organization
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and customers
- Communicate and report on project progress
3. Technical studies and rational assessments
- Execute and support technical studies
- Perform calculations related to project specifications
- Develop and follow up project budgets and planning
- Take into account required and available resources as well as customer requests
The experience we are actively looking for:
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or electromechanics, or equivalent through relevant experience, with strong interest in technical topics
- 2 to 7 years of experience in project management and/or experience in site follow-up
- Perfect knowledge of French and strong understanding of Dutch
- Interest in the energy sector (confidential client active in critical infrastructure)
- Strong sense of responsibility and strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with assertiveness and customer focus
- Team player with a good level of resourcefulness
- Ability to work according to a telework policy after an onboarding period (typically up to 2 days per week remote)
- Ability to be present on site 2 days per week by default, and to visit worksites regularly during construction phases
- Projects spread across multiple geographic areas (including Hainaut / Namur / Liège / Luxembourg areas, plus other regions)
- An entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus (extra-professional or extra-academic is a great start).
- Immediate availability is preferred.
- Valid single permit for non-EU citizens.
