We're seeking a dynamic professional who excels in communication, networking, and administration to lead our industrial relations efforts and foster positive relationships with workers' councils, unions, and other stakeholders across Belgium & Luxembourg. Your Responsibilities: As an Employee Relations & Policies Associate Manager, you will lead and support labor relations activities across our Belgian operations. You will be the primary point of contact for workers’ councils and trade unions, ensuring compliance, fostering constructive dialogue, and driving strategic HR initiatives in alignment with local legislation and business goals. Your responsibilities include: Chair CE (Comité d’Entreprise) and CPPT (Comité pour la Prévention et la Protection au Travail) meetings, ensuring effective preparation, facilitation, and follow-up. Lead negotiations of collective labor agreements (CCTs) with trade unions, including harmonization and restructuring projects. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on labor relations strategy, risk mitigation, and policy development. Ensure compliance with Belgian labor law and collective agreements, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting. Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Legal to manage employee relations cases and industrial relations matters. Support the HR Lead in executing strategic HR projects and change management initiatives. Your Team and Environment: You will collaborate closely with the Employee Relations team within the Human Resources department, as well as other Corporate Functions teams including Finance, Legal, and Information Management. Together, we strive to optimize operations, drive collaboration, and achieve shared goals. Your Background and Skills: Minimum 5 years of direct labor relations experience in the Belgian private sector, ideally within large organizations. Proven track record of chairing CE/CPPT meetings and managing union interactions. Experience negotiating collective agreements (CCTs) and managing union relationships in a bilingual (French/Dutch) environment. Fluency in French and Dutch (written and spoken) is essential. Strong knowledge of Belgian labor legislation and industrial relations frameworks. Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments with diplomacy and strategic insight. Experience in HR consulting or advisory roles. Exposure to cross-border labor relations or multi-country HR projects. Familiarity with digital HR tools and data-driven decision-making.
