What you’ll do

?

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is our platform engineered to integrate, automate, extend, and build AI-supported business applications and processes across enterprises. As a Solution Advisor (SA) you work as a trusted advisor for customers together with the sales teams and customer success managers, providing deep dive knowledge about BTP across the entire Customer Value Journey (Discovery-Select-Adopt & Consume- Extend). You will provide strategic guidance and subject-matter expertise in the design and solutioning of SAP Integration Suite (primarily), SAP Build Suite and Joule Studio.

In the Discovery phase you will support mainly clients exploring potential BTP solutions and help sales teams build pipeline performing key activities such as:

1. Contributing to Account or Territory Pipeline Planning
2. Supporting One-to-Few Events & One-to-Many events by delivering customer-facing presentations, digital assets and demos about SAP’s BTP portfolio, ie. Integration Suite, Build Suite and Joule Studio.
3. Performing Account-Specific Discovery using customer interviews, workshops, and vigorous dry-runs
4. Contributing to successful Opportunity Qualification
5. Roadmap item explanation& acting as a liaison between product management and customers

During the Select phase you will support clients building their middleware and app development strategy vision using key activities such as:

6. Defining long-term solution strategy working together with Advisory Architects for value definition and delivery.
7. Teaming up with customer success managers ensuring the selected BTP solutions address customer pain points and support their strategic vision.
8. Facilitating a smooth transition to the implementation and adoption phases.

While your primary focus remains on driving new cloud license sales, 50 % will be allocated to post-sales support activities within the Adopt & Consume phase of the Customer Value Journey. Key Activities in this phase can be:

9. Post-Sales Transition: Facilitating knowledge transfer between sales and implementation/onboarding teams, ensuring continuity and alignment with customer goals. This includes internal meetings to share key information like sales assets, customer objectives, and contact details.
10. Solution Clarification Demos and Presentations: Re-engaging customers to reinforce the value and functionality of purchased SAP BTP solutions, addressing the needs of new stakeholders, clarifying the impact of changed requirements, and addressing potential "shelfware" situations.

During the Extend phase you will focus on prioritizing innovation and growth within existing customer accounts. You will handle key activities such as:

11. Upsell/Cross-sell Identification: you act as a consultant to the sales team, drawing on your knowledge of the account to pinpoint upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
12. Solution Expertise: you re-engage with customers, delivering solution overviews and demonstrations, drawing upon previous sales engagement experiences with the client.

What you’ll bring?

Required:

13. 7+ years of professional work experience as a solution advisor/architect/engineer... within large software/IT organizations
14. 5+ years of relevant SAP BTP and/or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) experience in a customer-facing role, with a specific focus on integration, automation, and low-code/pro-code development
15. Strong technical expertise with SAP Integration Suite
16. Show solution knowledge of Cloud Integration, API Management, Event mesh
17. Proficient in integration architectures (A2A, Event-driven architectures, API-managed integration, Agentic AI, B2B Integration,...)
18. Proficient in BTP governance aspects (naming conventions, security, cost & consumption monitoring,...)
19. Inspiring storyteller + demonstration skills
20. Team player

Preferred:

21. Functional knowledge of S/4HANA applications and/or optimization of business processes that leverage SAP Integration Suite is desired
22. Expertise in SAP Build and Joule Studio
23. Understanding of modern integration and extension strategies (clean core) and proven ability to present to all levels in a customer’s organization
24. Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
25. Proficiency with AI and machine learning frameworks and libraries
26. Passion and energy in all customer interactions
27. Ability to drive opportunities in collaboration with Account Executive, Sales Specialists, Customer Success Managers and Partner Business Managers

28. – Integrate customer’s business across SAP and third-party landscapes with a modern, scalable, and secure integration platform as a service (iPaaS).
29. – AI capabilities purpose-built for developers' needs, all integrated with SAP Business Technology Platform
30. – Creating AI Agents and extend apps with SAP Build

Meet your team:

31. You will be part of the Customer Advisory team consisting of Solution, Value and Architecture Advisors
32. You will be based in the SAP Belux office but might need to travel to our office in s’ Hertogenbosch in Netherlands as we are a Benelux Market Unit
