We are looking for an experienced ASIC Test Engineer to join an exciting semiconductor project, supporting the full journey from prototype evaluation through to production ramp.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing ASIC test strategies, working closely with customers, project teams, and external test partners to ensure successful characterization, qualification, and transition into volume production.
Location: 3 days per week onsite in Leuven.
Contract length: 1 year with extensions

Responsibilities:
* Define, plan, and manage ASIC test work packages across different stages of the project lifecycle
* Collaborate with Project Managers, customers, and engineering teams to align technical requirements and project milestones
* Set up and coordinate ASIC test solutions in partnership with external test houses
* Support ASIC prototype-to-production ramp activities, including characterization and qualification planning
* Drive volume production readiness following ramp-up activities
* Identify and propose cost and efficiency improvements, including:
* Yield improvement strategies
* Multi-site test solutions
* Packaging optimisation options
* Act as a technical interface between customers, internal teams, and test partners
Required Experience:
* Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field
* 5+ years of experience within ASIC testing, semiconductor test, product engineering, or IC qualification
* Hands-on experience with ASIC qualification processes including:
* HTOL
* HAST
* Temperature Cycling
* ESD testing
* Latch-Up
* Strong understanding of ASIC characterization, validation, and production test processes
* Experience working in project-based semiconductor environments
* Ability to work proactively and collaborate directly with customers and external partners
* Strong communication skills with a good command of English
