Exciting freelance opportunity with a major infrastructure organisation in Belgium!We’re looking for a skilled IBM ODM Developer / Coach to support and guide a growing team working on critical business rule applications.Logistics:Position: Freelance IBM ODM Developer (Coach/Trainer Profile)Duration: Initial contract aligned with annual budget cycle, strong chance of extensionLocation: Brussels (Hybrid – minimum 1x day per week onsite)Languages: French & English (both required)Start Date: Within the next 3 weeksWorkload: Part-time (approx. 2–3 days per week, flexible)Day Rate: €700–€750/day (open to negotiation for the right profile)Core Responsibilities:Provide expert guidance and coaching on IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) best practicesSupport the team in writing, maintaining, and optimising business rules (using pseudo-Java code)Act as a trainer and mentor for less experienced ODM developersCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on rule logic and implementationReview existing ODM setups and provide recommendations for improvementsEnsure knowledge transfer and sustainable practices within the teamEssential Skills:Proven experience with IBM ODM (Operational Decision Manager)Strong understanding of rule development and pseudo-Java codingBackground in Java development (nice-to-have but beneficial)Ability to coach, train, and upskill colleagues effectivelyExcellent communication skills in both French and EnglishWhat You Bring:A consultative and coaching mindset, not just delivery-focusedFlexibility in availability (part-time engagement)Strong problem-solving and analytical approachAbility to adapt to an established team environmentEU work permit + valid Belgian residence permit (if required)Why join?
