HARDWARE DESIGN ENGINEER - WALLOON REGION (BELGIUM) -
PERMANENT POSITION Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and
technically skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our product
development team. In this role, you will be responsible for the
end-to-end design and development of electronic hardware systems,
with a focus on creating reliable, high-performance, and
manufacturable products. Your work will encompass everything from
circuit design and PCB layout to prototyping, debugging, and
validation. You will play a critical role in transforming product
requirements into working electronic systems across a range of
applications - such as embedded platforms, IoT devices, control
systems, instrumentation, or consumer electronics. The ideal
candidate will bring hands-on experience in analog and digital
circuit design, power supply integration, and microcontroller-based
systems, along with a strong grasp of industry standards and best
practices. This is a cross-functional role that requires close
collaboration with embedded software, mechanical design, and
manufacturing teams. You will be involved throughout the product
life cycle, helping to shape design decisions, optimize
performance, and ensure the final product meets quality,
regulatory, and cost objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Design and
develop analog and digital electronic circuits for embedded and
hardware systems. - Create and maintain schematics and multi-layer
PCB layouts using tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or KiCad. - Select
components and perform design calculations to meet electrical,
thermal, and cost targets. - Conduct simulations (circuit, thermal,
and signal integrity) to validate designs prior to prototyping. -
Assemble and test prototypes; perform hardware bring-up, debug, and
optimize system performance. - Collaborate with firmware,
mechanical, and test engineers to ensure hardware/software
integration. - Perform validation testing including EMI/EMC,
environmental, and functional tests. - Document hardware
specifications, test plans, design revisions, and product release
materials. - Interface with manufacturing teams to support DFM
(Design for Manufacturability), DFT (Design for Test), and
production ramp-up. - Stay current with industry trends, emerging
components, and best practices in hardware design. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering,
Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline. - 2–5+ years of
experience in electronic hardware design and development. - Strong
understanding of analog and digital electronics, signal integrity,
and power distribution. - Proficiency with design and layout tools
(e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, KiCad). - Experience with
microcontrollers, power regulators, communication protocols (SPI,
I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet). - Skilled in using lab equipment:
oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, multimeters,
etc. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities at
board and system level. - Excellent written and verbal
communication skills. The Offer: - A permanent, full-time
employment contract - A salary & benefits package commensurate
