Experience audit beyond numbers Are you ready to take the next step in your audit career by shaping how data elevates audit quality? Perfect timing! We’re looking for a Senior Financial Data Consultant Dutch speaker to strengthen our Data Audit team. If you thrive on turning complex financial datasets into meaningful insights, enjoy guiding teams, and want to play a key role in rolling out innovative analytics across our audit practice, this role is for you. What will you be doing? In this role, you operate at the intersection of traditional audit delivery and data‑enabled audit innovation. As a Senior Consultant, your time is split between performing core audit work and transforming how audits are executed through analytics. You support teams on the field with high‑quality, risk‑focused audit procedures, while also taking ownership of data preparation, analytics and the continuous improvement of our digital audit approach. This dual position requires strong audit fundamentals, analytical rigor, and the ability to translate raw data into meaningful insights for both auditors and clients. Work with financial & operational data – Collect, structure and process large datasets to support audit objectives. Deliver impactful analytics supporting audit conclusions – Perform targeted data‑driven procedures, identify trends and anomalies, and help teams reach well‑supported audit judgments. Perform audit work – Execute substantive procedures, analytical reviews, and organisational walkthroughs while ensuring high‑quality documentation aligned with audit standards. Build audit‑ready outputs – Prepare structured analyses and clear visualisations (Excel, Power BI, DataEyes) tailored to engagement risks and client systems. Strengthen audit efficiency through innovation – Automate recurring analyses, propose improvements to analytics workflows, and contribute to scalable audit techniques. Ensure data integrity – Validate completeness and reliability of client data, document key checks, and ensure alignment with audit quality requirements. Act as a data point of contact – Interact with client finance and data stakeholders, clarify data structures, and coordinate with internal teams to secure the right datasets. Support and coach the audit and data team – Guide junior colleagues in understanding data outputs, using analytics in their procedures, and integrating digital tools into their audit approach. What do you bring to the table? Your foundation A background in Audit, Finance, Data Analytics or a related field, ideallywith first experience in external audit in a mid-tier or Big 4 firm. A strong interest in both sides of the role: traditional audit delivery and data‑enhanced audit approaches. Confortable interacting with client finance stakeholders (controllers, accountants, finance managers) and discussing audit findings or data structures. Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power Query or Power Pivot is a clear asset. Affinity with analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL or Python — or strong motivation to grow in these areas. Comfort working with data: collecting, cleaning, structuring and analysing datasets to support risk assessments and audit procedures. Ability to turn data into relevant insights that enhance audit conclusions, identify anomalies, and support a more targeted audit approach. Good communication skills and a willingness to guide junior team members in using data within their audit work. You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with clients and colleagues You work in a structured and detail-oriented way, ensuring high-quality and reliable output You are proactive and enjoy improving processes, not just executing them You thrive on variety and enjoy working on different clients, sectors and data challenges You are energised by the idea of becoming a bridge between audit teams and data‑driven tools.
