Job Description – Team Leader Mechanics

Reporting to: Business Unit Manager
Mission:
Ensure profitable and sustainable growth of the “Mechanics” product family by guaranteeing high quality solutions, quotations, and services (belt and chain transmissions, bearings, linear guides, couplings, …)
Responsibilities:
Inside Sales Mechanics (Technical-Commercial)
• Maintain and develop commercial and technical relationships with customers.
• Translate company strategy into concrete action plans for the Mechanics department.
• Share commercial information with the Mechanics team.
• Actively participate in preparing quotations (hands-on).
• Support the team in creating accurate and winning offers.
• Ensure timely and qualitative responses to customer requests.
• Provide technical advice related to the Mechanics product range.
• Ensure consistency in quotations based on visit reports and commercial policy.
• Support Customer Care in handling complaints.
• Collaborate closely with External Sales Engineers and Product & Solutions Engineers.
• Analyze quotation success rates and identify improvement opportunities.
• Accompany External Sales Engineers during customer presentations when required.
Key Indicators:
• Revenue and margin development of Mechanics range.
• Quotation success rate.
• Number of new customers and Mechanics-oriented projects.
• Response times.
• Consistent application of commercial policy.
• Customer satisfaction
Work Organization
• Manage and organize the team’s workload to ensure balanced task division and quality.
• Communicate activity indicators (requests, offers, pipeline, response time).
• Plan team holidays according to activity periods and HR guidelines.
• Adjust priorities in case of unplanned absences.

Product Responsibilities
• Maintain relationships with suppliers of the Mechanics range.
• Provide input on stock decisions and stock rotation

Candidate Profile
Education
• Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in Electromechanics
Experience / Knowledge
• Minimum 3–5 years of successful team leading experience in a technical-commercial (inside sales) environment.
• Strong technical expertise in most Mechanics products: bearings, belt and chain transmissions, couplings, linear guides, …
• Sufficient practical / field experience to translate customer needs into appropriate solutions.
