Your most important tasks
* As a Contract Manager, you are responsible for the entire contract management process. From the moment a contract is signed, you review and analyze agreements, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure compliance with all clauses.
* Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and advise the project team on compliance and commercial impact.
* Identify variations and claims and take proactive measures to prevent deviations.
* Participate in internal and external meetings, document agreements, and communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
* Support negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, and assist in drafting and reviewing contracts.
* Combine legal expertise with strategic insight to successfully deliver projects.
* Work closely with the Project Manager and the team to guarantee the successful completion of each project.
Our ideal candidate
* You hold a Master's degree in Law or have relevant experience in contract management within industrial (offshore) construction projects.
* You have an excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
* You are eager to learn and have a strong interest in the construction industry and complex projects.
* You work with precision, remain calm under pressure, and have a keen eye for detail.
* You are commercially minded, customer-focused, and possess a proactive and results-driven mindset.
* You can work independently while being a true team player.
* You are willing to travel to other Smulders locations when required.
