To uphold the Urban Outfitters “Peers Training Peers” philosophy. /p h3What You’ll Be Doing /h3 ul liAbility to recruit, motivate, develop and lead a team /li liManage aspects of performance development within the department team (Performance Appraisals, Individual Development Plans, Coaching and Counseling and Disciplinary actions) /li liRecognise and develop talented individuals for advancement and growth within the organisation /li liUphold Company standards and act as a positive role model to others /li /ul h3Leadership Communication /h3 ul liModel the way by inspiring, motivating and encouraging teamwork /li liConduct productive daily meetings to ensure that goals are met /li liEffectively delegate projects while at the same time allowing others the creativity to succeed by making their own decisions /li liPossess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form /li /ul h3Managing The Environment /h3 ul liOversee all levels of customer service by setting daily goals and expectations to create a positive store environment /li liExhibit excellent floor presence by training and coaching the store team on customer service, standards, product placement and time management /li liAchieve Company‑average mystery shop results by uphold the Company’s customer service standard /li /ul h3Operations /h3 ul liPerform all store‑level operational procedures accurately and in a timely fashion, in accordance with all Company policies and procedures /li liAchieve the store stock loss goals by overseeing adherence to loss prevention practices /li liAssist in upholding Company Health Safety regulations at all times in order to protect employees and customers against accidents and incidents /li /ul h3Merchandising Display /h3 ul liManage aspects of the assigned department in collaboration with the Department Manager (if applicable) or Visual Merchandising Manager with regard to: training, shipment placement, markdowns, transfers, merchandising and store standards /li liUnderstand and interpret current fashion trends in local markets in order to generate creative solutions /li liTake an active role in ensuring floor sets for the department are well organised and scheduled appropriately /li /ul h3Commercial Awareness /h3 ul liMaximise departmental sales through analytical and creative management of merchandise from receipt to sales /li liUtilise Company reports to react to trends and drive business /li liStay abreast of current trends and have a sound knowledge of customer profile by keeping up to date with external influences i.e. media and local community /li liManage stock levels appropriately (taking into consideration the store environment) through the understanding of relevant reports and market trends /li /ul pDemonstrate entrepreneurial skills to achieve and exceed store targets /p h3What You’ll Need /h3 ul liExperience in a management role working in a fast paced, high volume fashion retail environment /li liDemonstrates strong operational skills /li liAn understanding of the Urban Outfitters culture and its appeal to the local market /li liAbility to drive sales through excellent service, strong visual presentation, and a full understanding of the business /li /ul h3Equal Opportunity Statement /h3 pURBN is an Equal Opportunities Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
