Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chemical Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sint-Niklaas. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining chemical processes to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and product quality. This role requires a strong background in chemical engineering principles, process improvement, and project management.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Design and Optimization:Develop and design new chemical processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement.Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).Safety and Compliance:Ensure that all processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to ensure a safe working environment.Project Management:Lead and support engineering projects from concept to implementation.Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule.Process Monitoring and Troubleshooting:Monitor plant performance and identify operational issues.Develop and implement corrective actions to resolve process deviations.Use data analysis tools to track and improve process efficiency.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in chemical process engineering or a related industry.Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD).Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., REACH, OSHA).Strong communication skills in Dutch and EnglishWhat We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Professional development and training opportunities.A collaborative and innovative work environment.Opportunities for career advancement within a growing organization.Apply directly or Reach out to myself!+32 (0) 3 318 00 74jaime.samms@vividresourcing.com
