OverviewThe Electrical Engineer - Intermediate Level position is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join the PM Group team out of the quickly growing Benelux area office located out of Belgium, predominantly in Mons area. This role entails working directly with PM Group’s clients and internal teams on complex mission-critical projects – project scale will vary.The Electrical Engineer will lead electrical design processes for complex mission-critical facilities. This will encompass ownership and management of electrical deliverables for assigned projects and in compliance with PM Group standards. We are world leaders in the pharmaceutical, food, mission-critical, MedTech, advanced manufacturing, and energy sectors.ResponsibilitiesLeading projects from an electrical perspective as part of a multi-discipline team.Having the ability to coordinate the electrical design within multi-discipline teams.Analyzing complex engineering problems and offering effective solutions.Providing support for fee and capital budget proposals as required.Assembling and managing bid, approval, and construction issue electrical packages in an efficient and lean manner.Monitoring electrical engineering staff at junior levels, if required.Checking other electrical engineers work for accuracy and quality.Interacting independently and professionally with clients, vendor’s representatives and project field personnel.Attending and participating in client and PM Group meetings.Directing and/or participating in project site visits to monitor, review and sign-off electrical installations.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master degree in Electrical EngineeringLevel Intermediate with minimum 5-10 years of formal experience in industrial engineering design (mission critical preferred)Proven experience delivering the complete suite of electrical engineering design services including but not limited to:MV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, vertical transportation, small power, voice / data, cable containment, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, grounding & bonding and specialist control systemsWriting narratives that describe the electrical and special system to include user requirements specification and sequences of operationSelection of electrical devices for power, lighting, and other special systemsDeveloping single line diagrams that depict electrical power systems for a high levelStrong working knowledge of carrying out short circuit calculations, load flow and discrimination studies utilizing proprietary modelling software (Caneco)Advanced knowledge of all applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practicesCommercial awareness with the ability to undertake value engineering activities, implement new technologies and, where they are implemented, provide cost effective solutions for PM Group clientsStrong verbal and written communication skills are required in addition to the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documentsProfessional approach and demeanorA strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and businessGood knowledge of French and EnglishWhy PM Group?As an employee-owned company, we are inclusive, committed and driven.
