Freelance - IT Project Manager / Business Analyst Logistics: .2 days per week on-site, Brussels .1 stage Interview (slots this week) .Daily rate paid in € .12-month rolling contract .French Or Dutch & English .Energy Mission Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT professional to lead and coordinate technology projects within a dynamic energy sector environment. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring that solutions are delivered efficiently, meet quality standards, and support strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Project Leadership: Drive the successful delivery of IT initiatives, from initial launch through to final implementation. Track progress, manage timelines, budgets, and scope, while actively identifying and resolving risks and issues. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business teams to understand priorities and align the project roadmap accordingly. Cross-Project Integration: Coordinate with related IT initiatives to manage interdependencies, streamline scheduling, and identify opportunities for synergy. Requirement Validation: Assess business requirements for clarity and feasibility prior to approval. For internal software development, convert these into well-structured functional and technical specifications using Microsoft technologies (.NET stack). Team & Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with technical leads and oversee internal and external development teams. Monitor third-party software solutions to ensure quality and alignment with project goals. Quality Assurance & Testing: Define quality standards and testing procedures. Oversee testing throughout the development lifecycle and ensure readiness for deployment. Release Oversight: Manage release cycles and ensure a smooth transition into production environments. User Support & Maintenance: Provide second-level support to users and coordinate ongoing maintenance and enhancements for deployed solutions. Profile & Qualifications: University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. Solid background in roles such as Project Manager, Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Product Owner, preferably in IT environments. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, etc.) is highly valued. Technical insight into Microsoft platforms (.NET, Visual Studio, SQL Server) is a strong advantage. Able to communicate clearly with both technical teams and business users. Prior experience in the energy or utilities sector is beneficial. Interest in digital transformation and emerging IT trends; hands-on experience in digitalisation projects is a plus. Analytical thinker with a structured, proactive, and results-driven approach. Team-oriented, customer-focused, and an effective communicator. Fluent in English, with working knowledge of Dutch and/or French.
