Based in Braine‑l’Alleud, you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join the NATO Infrastructure Services Centre (NISC), which is accountable for planning and executing the full lifecycle management activities (design, transition and operations) for the identified area of responsibility. NISC provides generic, domain‑independent, technical functionality that enables and facilitates the operation and use of Information Technology resources.
This is a temporary location pending completion of the new SHAPE facility at Camp Casteau in Mons. The Braine‑L’Alleud site is expected to close by end 2027, with future duty stations shifting to Brussels or Mons, depending on function and business needs.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation and optimisation of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions across hybrid environments.
Provide technical leadership for software configuration, system software and secure deployment processes.
Drive the development and enforcement of secure access models (RBAC/ABAC), authentication mechanisms (SSO, MFA, PAM) and identity governance frameworks.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for complex incidents, system architecture validation and mentoring of junior engineers.

Qualifications
Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years of related experience. Alternatively, lack of a university degree may be compensated by demonstration of exceptional abilities or experience totaling at least 10 years in duties related to the function.
Proven experience in designing and managing complex ICT systems with a focus on IAM and hybrid cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
Strong expertise in identity lifecycle management, access governance, RBAC/ABAC models and modern authentication technologies (SSO, MFA, PAM, Federation).
Deep technical knowledge of identity platforms and protocols such as Active Directory, Kerberos, SAML, OAuth2, OIDC and LDAP.
Demonstrated commitment to security best practices including Zero Trust and least‑privilege principles.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
