Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough global structural assessments of ships;
* Analyze and understand the implications on both longitudinal and transverse strength ensuring the structural integrity of the vessel;
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to feasibility studies;
* Perform detailed calculations manually and using specialized software to assess the strength of ship structures;
* Address various structural requests, including but not limited to heavy equipment positioning on offshore ship decks, sea-fastening calculations, and global/local assessments for conversions;
* Ensure that all structural designs and assessments adhere to applicable rules and regulations.
Profile
* Technical knowledge & soft skills:
* You have at least a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering;
* You are a Structural Analyst with 2 years of relevant experience in calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in the shipbuilding/offshore industry;
* You are familiar with structural and FEA software, such as ANSYS Workbench, MARS, or STEEL;
* Knowledge of the rules of classification societies (Lloyds, BV, DNV);
* You have excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written).
