Euroclima is co‑funded by the European Union and the German Federal Government through the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It seeks to contribute to sustainable, resilient and inclusive transition through climate mitigation and adaptation efforts, including protection, restoration, biodiversity conservation and the promotion of the circular economy. Euroclima is part of the renewed Agenda for Relations between the EU and Latin America and the Caribbean and is part of the Global Gateway strategy that promotes investments and financing in relevant sectors, as well as the use of other instruments of the EU and its Member States to achieve more sustainable, just and interconnected societies. It is implemented under the spirit of Team Europe, through the synergic work of the following agencies: Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), AFD Group: Agence Française de Développement (AFD)/ Expertise France (EF), Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Fundación para la Internacionalización de las Administraciones Públicas (FIAP), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). /ph3Your tasks /h3ulliSupport the programme management of GIZ-Euroclima in general and with regards to topics at the interface of climate and business. /liliContribute to the design and implementation of activities and projects related to the programme’s thematic components, which may include research and other related tasks. /liliParticipate and support in the preparation, organisation and documentation of meetings and events with the EU, implementing partners, programme secretariat and project team. /liliSupport knowledge management within the GIZ team and the implementing partners. /liliSupport monitoring and reporting activities: drafting of status reports for sponsors and partners and preparing institutional documentation, such as reports and newsletters, addressed to the German government and the European Union. /liliGeneral office organisation activities, such as translations (Spanish, English, German). /liliMonitor developments in EU policies and political and institutional developments in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) relevant for the programme. /li /ulh3Your profile /h3ulliYou have completed at least an undergraduate/bachelor's degree, i.e. you are shortly before or shortly after graduating from university in a relevant field, e.g. Business administration, law, economics, political science. /liliYou are proficient in written and spoken German, English and Spanish (comparable to C2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages for at least two languages is a requirement). Fluent in languages like Portuguese or French is an asset. /liliInternships, (holiday) jobs in business, association or volunteer work or social services are an asset. /liliInitial experience in the LAC context and/or in development cooperation and/or private sector is an advantage. /liliInterest in fighting climate change and in sustainable development and willingness to familiarise yourself with new topics. /liliYou are very confident in using the MS Office package. /liliYou are a team player and have strong communication skills. /liliNetworking skills and intercultural sensitivity in dealing with relevant local and international stakeholders. /liliYou have very good organisational skills and are able to maintain an overview in a working environment with diverse tasks and can organise your day‑to‑day work efficiently yourself. /li /ulh3Notes /h3pPlease be informed that you are only allowed to apply for this internship, if you are currently enrolled as a student or graduated not longer than six months ago from the start of your internship.
