Senior project engineer cables (offshore)

PpOffshore Cable Project Engineer – Senior Level (6-10) /p h3Mission /h3 pYou will: /p ul liContribute to the engineering, planning, and execution of offshore cable systems supporting Belgium’s renewable energy transition. /li liLead and coordinate activities related to the preparation and installation of HVAC cable systems under an EPCI framework. /li liProactively identify opportunities to add value to the project and keep relevant stakeholders informed of progress. /li liReview technical documentation, including scope of works and comment sheets, ensuring compliance and clarity. /li liCollaborate with contractors, internal experts, and offshore client representatives to ensure smooth project execution. /li liMonitor offshore works, including vessel operations, ROV activities, and preparatory tasks such as cable pull-ins, burial, boulder clearance, and dredging. /li liConduct technical analyses for cable installation and pull-in, considering weather limits and operational constraints. /li liEnsure effective communication and documentation of project status, issues, and risks throughout the project lifecycle. /li /ul pThe position is based in Brussels, with site visitsto the Belgian North Sea coast(typically 2-3 days per week). The role may involve short trips to contractors and suppliers domestically and internationally. /p h3Profile /h3 pYou have: /p ul liAt least 6years of experience in offshore cable engineering, including offshore cable lay, burial, landfall, and structure pull-in operations. /li liProven expertise in offshore construction activities such as vessel operations, ROV work, and preparatory site works. /li liStrong technical knowledge of survey techniques, GIS software, and route engineering. /li liA Master’s degree in Engineering or related field. /li liExcellent team-working abilities, with the capacity to work independently and review complex documentation. /li liExperience working in international project environments. /li liStrong problem-solving skills, with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to adapt to technical challenges. /li liFluent in English; proficiency in Dutch and French is a plus. /li liWillingness to operate in a dynamic environment with site visits along the Belgian North Sea coast. /li /ul h3Offer /h3 pWorking for Syngenia or its partners means working with your talent and expertise.
