You'll be a leading part of the Brussels Government and Executive Affairs team, currently three senior people, and the wider global community, integrated into the Communications corporate and global division.

How You’ll Make an Impact
1. You will lead all aspects of legislative developments and assess their impact on Siemens Energy’s business. Key areas will be energy, climate and industrial policy.
2. You will be responsible for all relationships and engagement with key partners in the European Institutions.
3. You will steer advocacy campaigns and risk management to craft policy developments.
4. You will regularly advise business areas about political developments and coordinate with them internally to define policy asks, align messages and implement campaigns.
5. You will be encouraged to represent the Company in relevant Associations and initiatives.
What You Bring
6. At least 10-15 years of proven experience in government relations, European public affairs, or similar roles. Supported by a university degree, preferably Master’s in relevant field.
7. Extensive knowledge of European energy and climate policy and EU decision making process, good knowledge of other policy areas including industrial policy and international relations, eye for business.
8. Deep understanding of the broader energy and industry sectors and what’s driving them.
9. Solution oriented mentality with a proactive approach.
10. Fluent in English and one other EU language. If you speak German, that’s a plus!
11. Open and team-player mentality, keen to integrate into the Company environment and enrich it, ability to take responsibility and full ownership. Willingness to contribute beyond your core responsibilities and help others to achieve common goals.
12. Proven experience in leading teams, managing internal stakeholders at large organizations, including C-Level.
13. Excellent communicator (both orally and in writing!), influencer, networker, experienced in speaking in public and in translating sophisticated policy into well-resonating and accessible messages.
14. Keen learner able to offer flexibility, ready to adapt, and inspire change in the company and beyond.
15. Genuine interest in technology, policy making, energy-industry and climate policy, and international relations, intrinsic motivation to make a difference.
