We are looking for a Data Analyst for one of our clients in the banking sector. The candidate will work closely with business units to gather, interpret, and translate data into insights.
Responsibilities
* Collect, clean, validate, and structure both structured and unstructured data from internal and external banking sources.
* Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to support business performance monitoring and decision-making.
* Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define reporting needs and translate them into clear analytical or technical requirements.
* Perform data mining, statistical analysis, and trend identification to detect patterns, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
* Support regulatory, risk, and compliance reporting by ensuring accurate and timely data delivery.
* Contribute to the design, documentation, and maintenance of data models, data dictionaries, and data lineage.
* Support the implementation of data quality controls and continuous data improvement initiatives.
Profile
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a data analytics or data management role, ideally within the banking or financial services sector.
* Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
* Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data transformation, modelling, or automation.
* Solid understanding of data governance, data quality principles, and relational data structures.
* Proven experience working with large datasets and complex data environments.
* Strong analytical mindset, structured thinking, and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of banking products, risk management, or regulatory frameworks is a strong asset.
* Fluent in English +NL/FR
